Meet Caoimhe

Caoimhe (pronounced ‘Keeva’) joined the Hopeful Pathways Team in September of 2025. Although still only a puppy, she is a Service Dog in Training and is present in the office every day to support clients.

Caoimhe supports clients through Animal Assisted Therapy, which is a therapeutic modality where animals are brought into the therapeutic frame. Research has demonstrated that the inclusion of animals in therapy has significant positive benefits for emotional, psychological, and even physical healing, including with birth trauma, Post-Partum Depression and Anxiety, among other concerns.

If you would like to explore if Animal Assisted Therapy is right for you, please contact our office.

We can appreciate that some individuals may not be comfortable with animals in session. Here at Hopeful Pathways Counselling, we want all our clients to feel comfortable and engaged. We offer the option of online or telephone sessions for all clients, but if you are wanting in person sessions and you are concerned about having a dog present, we encourage you to continue your search to find a therapist who uses a model that better fits with your needs.
